So you got your first bike, you want to ride it everywhere and everyday .But when
you are out riding you see groups of bikes riding together, and you start thinking
you need to join a bike club. You start checking out which ones your friends are
with. Wow so many clubs and organizations, some of them can get you into
trouble, some will help keep you out of trouble, a lot of them help other people.
Give it a lot of thought before joining any of them. The thing is everyone has a
need; the need is to belong and to be loved. I belong to Jesus and know I am
loved by Jesus. The next need is to get support. My bible study group and my
friends give me support. Some people get these needs filled by their family. Some
of us get all our needs filled though the church we belong to. All these thing take
work, you have to decide on which work is best for you. And which will help fill
your spiritual and mental needs. But until you accept Jesus as your Lord and
Savior and ask him to come into your heart there is going to be a big empty hole
in your soul that needs to be filled. And all the friends and motorcycles in the
world won’t fill this need. We all need to belong.
The next few months are the bikers’ favorite time of year, no not because we
get frost in our beards, because we get the chance to help the children and
homeless. Christmas time is fast approaching. If you have a bike and haven’t
ridden in a toy run or parade you don’t know what you are missing. The felling of
giving is unsurpassed, kids waving, cars and trucks honking to show there
support it is sometimes truly overwhelming.  If you have a motorcycle, watch the
okmcevents.com website for upcoming rides. And if you don’t ride, please show
you support by honking and waving at the bikers on the rides and come to watch
the parades.

While riding on a warmer day down the county roads I couldn’t help but notice all the trees that had
bent and broken limbs. And beneath them were a mess of tangled brush and briers. I thought to
myself, how sad it was for these trees not to have anyone to look after them and take away the
tangle of briers that entangled them. But I know the Lord has a plan for the trees, they may look ruff
now but when the rain comes and the sun shines it’s warmth upon them they will leaf out and be
more beautiful than ever.
And as we ride down the roads of life we will see many people that are broken and in a tangle of
thorny briers. We have God to take care of us too, and we must introduce our Lord and Savior to
the ones that do not know him. So that He may heal them and take away the entanglement from
their feet. This may seem like a huge task but if we all do our part it can be done and just think how
much more beautiful this world will be. When Gods love rains down on us and The Son shines his
warmth upon us all.
Spring is coming upon us fast. There will more and more Bikers on the roads each day as the
weather warms. Many of whom have never ridden before. So please be careful and watch out for all
the bikers.
